India will play its first match in Cricket World Cup 2023 on 8 October 2023, Sunday against Australia at MA Chidambaram, Chennai. The last league match will be played on 12 November 2023, Sunday at India vs the winner of Netherlands at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
On 5th September 2023, the all-India selection committee announced India’s 15 men’s squads for the Cricket World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma will be the captain and Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain of the Indian Cricket Team in the World Cup 2023.
On 28th September 2023, the Indian team was forced to change their World Cup squad. Axar Patel has failed to recover in time for the World Cup after sustaining a left quadriceps strain during India’s Asia Cup Super Four encounter against Bangladesh.
