The Lanka Premier League known as LPL, is a T20 professional cricket league in Sri Lanka, organized by Sri Lanka Cricket Board. The league played every year since 2020 between the 5 cities team of Sri Lanka. The league was founded by Sri Lanka Cricket Board in 2018. The 1st season was supposed to be played in 2018 but due to management issues the tournament was postponed for some time and the 1st season began on 26th November 2020. Lanka Premier League 2023 Schedule
The LPL 4th season will be played From 30th July 2023 to 20th August 2023. There will be a total of 24 matches including 20 league and 4 playoff matches to be played by 5 teams at 2 venues in Sri Lanka namely, R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Pallekele.
For the 4th edition of the LPL, the schedule was finalized earlier, there will be a total of 24 Matches (20 league, and 4 Playoff matches). The league matches will be played from 30th July 2023 to 15th August 2023 followed by the playoff matches, qualifier 1 and eliminator will be played on 17th August at different-different times, qualifier 2 on 19th August and the final match will be played on 20th August 2023.
