On 23rd June 2023, the selection committee declared only test matches and ODI matches squad. Team India is also scheduled to play 5 T20 matches series, the squad of which will be decided later. For the Test and ODI series, Rohit Sharma will lead the team.
On 31st July 2023, West Indies Cricket Board announced the 15-member squad against India for 5 matches T20 Series. All 15 members of the provisional squad will travel to all matches. There will then be a 13-member squad for each match from which the final XI will be selected. Rovman Powell will lead the team and Kyle Mayers will be the vice-captain of the team.
