On 21st August 2023, BCCI announced the 17-member squad for the Asia Cup 2023. Team India will be lead by Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya will be the vice-captain. Team India has two wicket-keepers namely KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan.
The Super 4 matches will be played from 6th September 2023 to 15th September 2023, after that a final match will be played on 17th September 2023, at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The final match will be played between the top two teams of the Super 4 Round. The ACC also has a reserve day for the final match of Asia Cup 2023.

On 29th August 2023, Indian Team Coach Rahul Dravid confirmed that KL Rahul will not be available for the Indian team’s two matches of the Asia Cup 2023. As per the reports, KL Rahul is not truly fit to play against Pakistan on 2nd September and against Nepal on 4th September 2023.
