The current defending champion of the T20 World Cup is England, who won their maiden title in 2022. The Final match of the T20 World Cup 2022 was played on 13th November 2022 between Pakistan and England, where England beat Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the title.
The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be in 2024, which is scheduled to be played in the month of June 2024. It will be the 9th ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament. T20 World Cup Starting Date 2024- In November 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the 2024 Men’s T20 World Cup would be played in the West Indies and the United States. A joint bid was submitted by Cricket West Indies and USA Cricket following two years of preparation, forming part of a strategic partnership between the two associations. In October 2022, it was reported that the ICC had stripped USA Cricket of its role as administrative co-host of the World Cup due to continued non-compliance with the ICC’s financial protocols and concerns being raised over USA Cricket’s financial position, including debts of approximately $650,000. This was not expected to impact the playing of matches in the country.

T20 World Cup Schedule 2024- There will be a total of 55 matches in the next 2024 T20 World Cup. The 20 qualifying teams will be divided into four groups of five, from which the top two teams in each group advance to the Super 8 round. In this stage, the remaining teams will be split into two groups of four; the top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, which will consist of two semi-finals and a final. T20 World Cup Teams 2024
The 20 qualifying Teams will be divided into four groups of five, from which the top two teams in each group advance to the Super 8 round. In this stage, the qualifying teams will be split into two groups of four; the top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, which will consist of two semi-finals and a final.
The top eight teams from the 2022 tournament, along with the two hosts, the West Indies, and the United States, qualify automatically for the tournament. The remaining automatic qualification places (to give 12 teams in total) will be taken by the best-ranked teams in the ICC Men’s T20I Team Rankings, as of 14 November 2022, who have not already secured a place in the finals.
Out of the 20 teams in the T20 World Cup 2023, 12 teams have already qualified now the rest teams are qualifying through the qualifier match of the Europe, Eash Asia Pacific Qualifier, American Qualifier, Asia Qualifier, and Africa Qualifier.

After the success of Major League Cricket 1st edition, the USA is ready for the hosting of the T20 World Cup 2023. As per the ESPN reports, the T20 World Cup 2023 is scheduled to be played from 4th June 2023 to 30th June 2024 at 10n venues in USA and Caribbean. In the month of July 2023, ICC, team inspected some of the shortlisted venues in the USA which will be hosting an International global cricket event for the 1st time. These include Lauderhill in Florida, which has hosted international matches already, Morrisville, Dallas, and New York, for tournament matches and warm-ups.
Morrisville and Dallas have already hosted the inaugural edition of Major League Cricket in July 2023 in the USA. The grounds in Dallas (Grand Prairie Stadium), Morrisville (Church Street Park), and New York (Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx) are yet to get international venue status, which is mandatory as per ICC rules.
